15 Puzzle – An Accessible Game
15 Puzzle is a sliding puzzle game in which numbered tiles must be arranged in ascending order. Version 3.0 is available in 16 languages on the web, Android, and iOS.
How to play
Choose a 3×3, 4×4, or 5×5 board and select Start. Move a numbered tile into the adjacent empty position by tapping or clicking it. On touch devices, you can also use swipe gestures. Continue until all numbered tiles are in ascending order and the empty position is in the bottom-right corner.
The timer and move counter are shown above the board. A game in progress can be saved and resumed later on the same device.
Accessibility
The game is designed for keyboard and screen-reader use. When entering the board for the first time, you can choose whether each tile should also be announced with its position, for example “5, B1”. This option can be changed later in Settings. Sounds and swipe gestures can also be configured there.
Statistics
The Statistics page contains personal results saved on the current device and general results for all time, the last 28 days, the last 7 days, and the last 24 hours. It also includes all-time counts of started and solved puzzles by language and platform.
Sharing and rating
The About page includes an option to share the game. On Android and iOS, it also includes an option to rate the game in the corresponding store. A rating invitation may also appear after a solved puzzle.
About the project
The game uses a shared Angular codebase and Capacitor for its Android and iOS versions. It demonstrates how the same game can be made available across major platforms with screen-reader support.
